During the qualifying period of July 20 through July 22 for the November 8, 2016 mayoral election, five candidates entered the race. Kenner District 1 Councilman Gregory W. DANCE, TWIRLERS AND FLAG TEAM – Ages 11 & up Dance, Twirlers and Flag Team – Ages 11 & up – All students will need to tryout to be on the team. Classes will begin in October and continue through the 2017 parade season. We will have a dance team, baton twirling and flag team. Classes will be held once a week and will focus on basic techniques to prepare for the parade season. DANCE – AGES 3 & UP Classes are offered in ballet, lyrical, tap and jazz. Classes are held once a week beginning the week of September 12 at the Fassbender Dance Studio. Students will be placed according to age, years of dance and ability. The dance program will end on June 9, 2017 with the annual dance revue. Students will be responsible for the purchase of class uniforms, dance shoes, costumes for the dance revue and a $25 revue fee due in February. Dance fee: $125

GYMNASTICS – AGES 3-15 Girls’ gymnastics will include instruction on vault, bars, beam and floor. Boys ages 5 & up classes include instruction on parallel bars, pommel horse, floor and vault. For girls and boys ages 3 - 4 year old classes will be basic technique course on vault, bars, beam and floor. Gymnasts will be evaluated on the first day of class and then will be put in levels.
