Our panel will discuss the basics of sewing: patterns, fabric choices, how to take measurements, adding notions and trims to achieve a final finish and also discuss the importance of making a good body suit and how it can be translated to different types of costumes. We will also discuss propwork: a list of useful materials, the basics of how to heat and manipulate foam, adhesive choices, creating templates, priming, painting, finishing and sealing your prop to ensure durability and long lasting finish.
