Special thanks to Daryl Slade, former PJFC chief statistician and his coaches list 1976-81 and several newspaper articles. Barry Kowalski of the Edmonton Wildcats, Jim Stevenson and Paul Shortt for providing coaches records from their respective conferences. Apologies to Queen’s University II. Further research has found that there was an Ontario junior championship game played Nov 7, 1891. In spite of Hamilton not wanting to make the long train trip, the game was played with Queen’s winning 13-10 over the junior Tigers. Queens also scored the first safety touch. In their 80-4 win on November 6, 1915 the 14 touchdowns scored in this game was the second most in junior history and the 12 by rushing equaled the junior record. In the Saskatchewan Championship game of Oct 18, 1930 he intercepted two forward passes, a then junior record. Apologies to James Allen, Hamilton Delta Collegiate Grads his outstanding punting and 9 singles in the Nov 30, 1930 Inter-Conference game equaled the junior record. Apologies to “Tubby” Law (40 yds) and Vic Myles (20), Moose Jaw Maroons. Their 60 yard inter- ception return for a touchdown on Oct 9, 1933 was the second longest in junior history. Their Two-Team 810 Total Yards on October 19, 1963 was a then junior championship record. Their Two-Team 454 Rushing Yards was the third most in junior history. Apologies to Lorne Powers, Calgary Wranglers. His two career kickoff returns for touchdowns equaled the junior record. Apologies to Joe Arcaro, NDG Maple Leafs. On Oct 31, 1964 he set a junior Inter-Conference record for returning his own punt 20 yards for a touchdown. Apologies to Henry Bryner, St. James Rods. His 103 yard touchdown reception from quarterback Kurt Kupper on Sept 24, 1966 was the 4th longest in junior history, Apologies to Vic Jenky, Hamilton Hurricanes. His two blocked kicks on Aug 25, 1968 equaled the record for second most. Apologies to Fern Aumais, Easton Chargers. His 220 kickoff return yards on Sept 26, 1968 was a then junior record. His 216 rushing yards and 45.2 average on a min- imum of 9 or less carries in his Sept 23, 1978 was a junior record. Tony carried the ball for runs of 75t, 78t, 30, 12 and 21 yards. Apologies to Chris Kusmirski, Hamilton Hurricanes. His three field goals in the Nov 14, 1981 Armadale Cup equaled the junior record. Apologies to Greg Duncan, Ottawa Sooners. His 5 field goal in the Oct 11, 1986 playoff equaled the junior record. Apologies to Dave Dinnall, Burlington Jr. Tiger-Cats. In his game on Aug 19, 1989 he had 319 All- Purpose Yards . His 2,032 All-Purpose Yards during the 2004 season was at the time fourth most in junior history Apologies to Manny Gordon, Winnipeg Rifles. His 41.0 rushing average on Oct 1, 2005 equaled the junior record for Highest Rushing Average on fewest attempts. He gained 123 yards on 3 carries. Apologies to Grant Shaw, Edmonton Huskies. His 4 field goals in the Nov 12, 2005 Canadian Bowl was the second most in junior history Apologies to Stuart Foord, Regina Thunder. His 2,081 All-Purpose Yardage during the 2007 season was at the time third most. Apologies to Steve Shott, Okanagan Sun. His 50 yard field goal on Oct 17, 2010 was the second longest in a junior championship game. Apologies to Whitman Tomusiak, Vancouver Island Raiders. His career reception yardage of 2,978 is fourth and his 30 career touchdowns is third most in junior history. We have found more game results from Eastern junior games played in both 1926 and 1927. These findings have been reflected in our revised team standings. We have a revised team standings for the 1890 Quebec Union.
