west coast music Midnight Special Please find attached the Midnight Special song list for your review. SPECIAL DANCES for Weddings: Please note that we will need your special dance requests, (I.E. First Dance, Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance etc) FOUR WEEKS in advance prior to your event so that we can confirm that the band will be able to perform the song(s) and that we are able to locate sheet music. In some cases where sheet music is not available or an arrangement for the full band is need- ed, this gives us the time needed to properly prepare the music and learn the material. Clients are not obligated to send in a list of general song requests. Many of our clients ask that the band just react to whatever their guests are responding to on the dance floor. Our clients that do provide us with song requests do so in varying degrees. Most clients give us a handful of songs they want played and avoided. Recently, we’ve noticed in increase in cli- ents customizing what the band plays and doesn’t play with very specific detail. If you de- sire the highest degree of control (allowing the band to only play within the margin of songs requested), we ask for a minimum of 100 requests. We want you to keep in mind that the band is quite good at reading the room and choosing songs that best connect with your guests. The more specific/selective you are, know that there is greater chance of losing certain song medleys, mashups, or newly released material the band has.

Maryland Players selected in Major League Baseball Free-Agent Drafts Compiled by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches Updated 16 February 2021 Table of Contents History .............................................................................. 2 MLB Draft Selections by Year ......................................... 3 Maryland First Round MLB Draft Selections ................. 27 Maryland Draft Selections Making the Majors ............... 28 MLB Draft Selections by Maryland Player .................... 31 MLB Draft Selections by Maryland High School ........... 53 MLB Draft Selections by Maryland College .................. 77 1 History Major League Baseball’s annual First-Year Player Draft began in June, 1965. The purpose of the draft is to assign amateur baseball players to major league teams. The draft order is determined based on the previous season's standings, with the team possessing the worst record receiving the first pick. Eligible amateur players include graduated high school players who have not attended college, any junior or community college players, and players at four-year colleges and universities three years after first enrolling or after their 21st birthdays (whichever occurs first). From 1966-1986, a January draft was held in addition to the June draft targeting high school players who graduated in the winter, junior college players, and players who had dropped out of four-year colleges and universities. To date, there have been 1,170 Maryland players selected in the First-Year Player Drafts either from a Maryland High School (337), Maryland College (458), Non-Maryland College (357), or a Maryland amateur baseball club (18). The most Maryland selections in a year was in 1970 (38) followed by 1984 (37) and 1983 (36). The first Maryland selection was Jim Spencer from Andover High School with the 11th overall selection in the inaugural 1965 June draft.

It highlights the negative effects of racism and the impact of collective shared trauma, while also bringing attention to the resilience long-time and current res- idents have shown through the action of movement, dance, and simply being. The essence of the Baltimore originated social dance called Rockin’ Off/Shakin’ Off, developed in 2005, provides the chance to dance out lived individual and shared experiences.

This past year has presented many challenges, from a change in City leadership to a ransomware attack to the COVID-19 emergency to mass police reform protests, all in the midst of historic levels of violence. Despite these challenges, progress continues to be made on many fronts. This document outlines some of the notable accomplishments of the work that we have done during this time. I am extremely proud of my team, the brave men and women of the BPD, and all of the progress that we have achieved. No one accomplishment by itself will solve all of our problems, but taken together represent positive momentum and a foundation that we will build upon this upcoming year and beyond. As we do this, we will add greater capacity, become a stronger Department, and improve our ability to respond to and prevent crime in Baltimore.
