FORT COLLINS, Colorado, June 12, 2017 – Bohemian Nights today announced national headliner ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ CAKE and a lineup of more than 80 Colorado bands slated to perform during this year’s Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, Aug. 11, 12 and 13. Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest is a free, three-day music festival held each August in historic downtown Fort Collins and is co-produced by Bohemian Nights and the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association. “We’re excited to announce a wide-ranging lineup that will expose community members to new, emerging and established Colorado artists,” said Bohemian Foundation Music Programs Director Tom Scharf. “With this exciting lineup, we are representing a wide variety of genres, bands from different parts of our great state, and top-notch talent from top to bottom throughout the festival. We hope folks come out early and stay throughout the weekend.” National headliner on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 8:30 p.m. is rock band CAKE, whose most recent album, “Showroom of Compassion,” debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and was touted as “deadpan brilliance” by the New Yorker. National headliner on Sunday, Aug. 13 will be announced this Friday, and the third headliner will be announced in mid-July. Headliner performances all take place on the Mountain Avenue Stage. The full lineup will feature a diverse offering of Colorado bands performing across six outdoor music stages. Artists in this year’s lineup include Slow Caves, a synth-punk Fort Collins favorite touted as one of the next national bands to emerge from Colorado; Grammy-nominated acoustic bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters; Skydyed, a Fort Collins-based, live EDM band on the rise; and Los Dreamers, a collaborative project featuring members of legendary Colorado groups including DeVotchKa, the Fray, Flobots, Ozomatli and more. Music performances will run from 5–10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.
