BOATS at CLIVEDEN THE CLIVEDEN FLOTILLA The Cliveden boathouse is ideally located on one of the most beautiful reaches of the Thames and is home to the Cliveden flotilla of lovingly maintained vintage launches. A jaunt down the river in one of these treasures, whether for afternoon tea, a picnic or a Champagne cruise is the perfect choice for effortless enjoyment. The gentle pace of lazy days by the river combined with first class cuisine and fine wines creates a quintessentially English experience that will be remembered with pleasure for years to come. The Cliveden flotilla is available for charter for residents and non-residents alike, for periods ranging from one hour to a whole day. SUZY ANN Built in 1911 and restored for Cliveden in 1986, Suzy Ann won first prize for the best professional restoration of a vintage boat at the Henley traditional Boat Rally. Suzy Ann is the flagship of the Cliveden flotilla and can accommodate up to 10 guests in great style and comfort. First hour £265, subsequent hours £170 BELMONT A resplendent 33-foot Thames slipper launch. Built in the 1930’s she has been restored and is a most extravagant way to cruise the Thames. Belmont can accommodate up to four guests. First hour £195, subsequent hours £135 CHAMPAGNE CRUISES ON THE THAMES Each day you can join a river cruise and sail along the Cliveden Reach. Each trip will take 45 minutes and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst sipping Champagne. The cruises depart at the following times each day - April to October: 5pm and 6pm - £50 per person Minimum 15 years of age to sail, under 18s will be provided with a Champagne alternative.

TERMS OF SAIL: Maximum capacity is 10 guests on the Suzy Ann and 4 guests on the Belmont. This must not be exceeded under any circumstances. Deck shoes must be worn all times when sailing in one of our vintage launches. Please wear non-slip shoes, high heels are strictly forbidden. No dogs are permitted on board. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT, fuel and crew where appropriate. A charge of £7.00 per guest is made by the ; this charge will however be waived upon production of a valid National Trust membership card. All boat bookings are charged in advance at the time of making the reservation; this includes food and beverage items and the National Trust fee. We operate on a 48 hour cancellation policy. All food and beverage consumed on the boats must be provided by Cliveden House. Boats will sail at the booked time, with allowance for unavoidable delays and excess river traffic up to 30 minutes. In the event of rain, boats still sail. Cliveden reserves the right to cancel bookings for security and safety reasons. Guests may bring their own food and beverage on board of a private cruise, but it will incur a £25 supplement per person. This is not available on any of the shared cruises. PLACES OF INTEREST Cliveden is ideally situated for sight- seeing trips to the many places of historical interest surrounding the estate. The Cliveden flotilla is available for charter for residents and non-residents alike, for periods from one hour to a whole day. Amongst many possible destinations these prove to be the most popular year after year. Bray: located downstream from Cliveden, a cruise to Bray takes approximately one hour. Leaving the Boathouse, one views the magnificent Hanging Woods of Cliveden and breath-taking view of the house. Having passed through Boulters Lock and under the bridges of , your boat arrives on the Fisheries Reach. At the far end of the reach, shortly before Bray lock is the renowned Waterside Inn. Windsor: a further hour and a half from Bray is Windsor and the stunning castle, home to the rulers of for almost a thousand years. From Bray, we pass Monkey Island and Bray Studios. Below Bovney Lock, we pass Windsor Racecourse before witnessing a stunning view of . The collegiate town of Eton is a short stroll across the pedestrian bridge linking the two towns. Marlow: leaving Cliveden and travelling upstream through and the riverside village of Cookham, the trip to Marlow skirts through open countryside and takes an hour and a half. It is possible to disembark here and explore the town. Henley: the famous Regatta town of Henley is a further two and a half hours upstream from Marlow and it is suggested that one leg of the journey is completed by car, which Cliveden would be delighted to arrange.
