Quarterback BROCK OSWEILER of the , defensive end J.J. WATT of the and punter DUSTIN COLQUITT of the are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the 11th week of the 2015 season (November 19, November 22-23), the NFL announced today.

OFFENSE: QB BROCK OSWEILER, DENVER BRONCOS  Osweiler completed 20 of 27 passes (74.1 percent) for 250 yards with two and no for a 127.1 in the Broncos’ 17-15 win at Chicago.  He connected with on a career-long 48-yard pass on the Broncos’ first possession of the game.  Early in the fourth quarter, Osweiler threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver to extend the Broncos’ lead to 17-9.  Osweiler, who turned 25 years old on Sunday, is the only in the era to make his first career start and win on his birthday.  His 127.1 passer rating led all AFC players in Week 11 and is the second-highest ever by a Broncos quarterback in his first start for the club (, 129.2 on September 9, 2012 against Pittsburgh).  Osweiler, who was selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL , is the first quarterback drafted by the Broncos to win his starting debut with the team since in 1983.  In his fourth season from Arizona State, this is Osweiler’s first career Player of the Week Award.  He is the second player to win an AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor in his first career start this season, joining Tennessee rookie quarterback (Kickoff Weekend).

DEFENSE: DE J.J. WATT, HOUSTON TEXANS  Watt had eight tackles, including five tackles for a loss, and two sacks in the Texans’ 24-17 win against the .  Both of Watt’s sacks came on third down and led to punts by the Jets. His second sack, which came in the third quarter, helped the Texans regain possession and preceded a six-play, 63-yard drive that culminated in a touchdown that gave Houston a 24-10 lead.  He now has 19 career games with at least two sacks, tying Pro Football Hall of Famer for the second-most of any player in his first five NFL seasons. Only Hall of Famer (24) had more multi- sack games in his first five seasons since the statistic became official in 1982.  Watt, who leads the league with 11.5 sacks, has registered at least 10 sacks in four consecutive seasons, the longest active streak in the NFL.  In his fifth season from Wisconsin, this is Watt’s fifth career Player of the Week Award and first since Week 11 of last season.  Watt’s five Player of the Week Awards are the most in franchise history.

SPECIAL TEAMS: P DUSTIN COLQUITT, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS  Colquitt punted five times for a net average of 40.6 yards, placing four inside his opponent’s 20-yard line in the Chiefs’ 33-3 win at San Diego.  He placed punts at San Diego’s seven, six, 11 and one-yard lines during the contest.  Colquitt and the Chiefs’ coverage unit did not allow any punt-return yardage by the Chargers and helped contribute to the Chargers’ average starting field position of their own 15.4-yard line during the contest.  In his 11th season from Tennessee, this is Colquitt’s first career Player of the Week Award.  Colquitt joins LOUIE AGUIAR (Week 5, 1995) as the only Chiefs punters to win a Special Teams Player of the Week Award.

Other nominees for AFC Special Teams Player of Week 11 as submitted by AFC clubs:  Jacksonville kicker JASON MYERS, who converted all four field-goal attempts (31, 32, 20 and 36 yards) and one PAT in the Jaguars’ 19-13 win against Tennessee.  Indianapolis kicker ADAM VINATIERI, who kicked the game-winning 43-yard field goal with 52 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and added three PATs.
