The program will introduce the evocative world of French Impressionist song, anchored by the melodies of Claude Debussy (Ariettes oubliées, Fêtes galantes pour Madame Vasnier). Eisen will explore the influence of French Impressionism on American composers, including Charles Griffes and Philadelphia’s own Samuel Barber.
