DO NOT PARK YOUR GAME WITH EXTREME TEMPERATURES, COLD OR HOT. ALWAYS STORE IT AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. 2. DON'T TOUCH THE TERMINAL CONNECTORS ON YOUR GAME PACK. KEEP IT CLEAN AND DUST-FREE, ALWAYS KEEPING IT IN A PROTECTIVE BOX. 3. DON'T TRY TO MAKE OUT THE GAME PAK. THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. 4. DON'T LET YOUR PAK GAME COME INTO CONTACT WITH DILUENTS, SOLVENTS, BENZENE, ALCOHOL OR OTHER STRONG DETERGENTS THAT CAN DAMAGE IT. Page 5 WORK 1. Insert BREATH OF FIRE II Game Pak into your Super Nintendo entertainment system and turn the ON power. 2. See the introduction or click the START button to go to the front screen. 3. When the front screen appears, you'll see the following options: GAME START, NEW GAME, COPY or ERASE. Use the control panel to move the cursor next to the option and click the START button. For more on the above options, see below. GAME START: Choose this option and click START or A to show a list of previously saved games. If the games have not been saved, this will lead you to a new game option (see below). NEW GAME: Choose this option to start a new game. There's a list of saved games. There are up to three gaming slots available. To select one of these slots, use the control panel and then click A. Enter your name using only four letters by clicking on the control panel up or down. Your game is now entered, and click START or A to start your game. With the new game, there is an introduction you have to play through; Once the introduction is done, the logo of the name appears and plays continues normally. Page 6 COPY: This allows you to copy a saved game from one slot to Choose the game you want to copy, click A, and then select the slot where you want the game copied, and click A again. Once again. The game is copied into this slot. ERASE: If you want to erase the saved game, select this team and then select the game you want to remove. Click A to erase the game, after which you will be asked to confirm it before the game is erased. Page 7 CONTROLS A BUTTON: Action Controller, see the next page. B BUTTON: Click B to take one step of the backup time on any team screen. X BUTTON: Click the X button to display the team screens. Y BUTTON: Click Y to activate special power (if available). L BUTTON: Shift the current order of the characters back one while in the box. R BUTTON: Shift the current order of characters forward one while in the box. START BUTTON: Not used BY SELECT BUTTON: When in the field, this button displays the map. CONTROL PAD: Use the control panel to move characters in the field and move the cursor on Command screens. Page 8 BUTTON Button is an all-destination controller. Use it to confirm your choices in command screens and perform actions on the ground. Click A to talk to the characters in the castles and cities (as soon as you move near them) and open treasure chests and doors, and work switches. The X BUTTON X button is mainly used to access command screens. On team screens, you can view and control different aspects of your party. COMMAND SCREENS These screens allow you to control and control different aspects of your party. Command screens are available by clicking the X button (although it is not available during combat; see Battle Scenes). The main command screen is shown below. The upper left shows the city, castle or dungeon you are in (if you are in one, that is). Page 9 Large Square Of the Main Team Screen is dedicated to your characters, showing their image, name, hit points (HP), ability points (AP), experience points, their current level and the number of experience points needed to reach the next level. (For more information, see The Stats section). The list on the left shows other command screens or available commands. In the bottom left corner is a diagram showing the current fighting order of the party. ITEMS Select this command and click A to display an inventory of items. There are five commands available here: Use, Trash, Order, Clean, and Spcls. Use the B button at any time capture the previous screen. USE This command allows you to use the item in your inventory. Move the backlight to the in the item you want to use. If an item is used on a specific symbol, you will be asked to choose a character. Items that cannot be used are gray. Page 10 TRASH This command lets you throw away one of your items to make room for other items. Move the lights to the item you want to throw away and click A. You will be asked to confirm your decision to throw away. ORDER This command allows you to move items in your inventory. Move the backlight to the item you want to move and click A. Then move the item to a new location and click the A button you first chose is exchanged for the item you choose (if any). CLEAN This team organizes an inventory, put up to nine single items in one place (e.g. nine roasts will be shown as fried X 9) and fill any empty stains automatically. You are asked to confirm this order before it happens. SPCLS This team lists any special items you may have. These special items do not appear in regular inventory and cannot be used up to the right time and place. SPELL This team allows you to select one of the spells from any character and use it. First, you are asked to choose a character whose spells you plan to use; Move the highlight and click the A button when you have the desired character. Page 11 goes on to show a list of the character's spells; spells that cannot be used in the current location are gray. Use the control panel to select the spell you want. You'll see the cost of the AP spell shown in the box in the middle of the left side of the screen. Click A to confirm the choice of spell. After selecting a spell, you may need to select a character that will affect them. If you don't use this command, you won't wear that lovely shiny armor you found or bought; It will just take up space in your backpack and not do anything for our defense. As soon as you select this command and click the A button, you will be asked to choose a character to equip. Move the lights to the desired character and click A. Display some of the character's stats, as well as the character's weapon, armor, and space for the other two items. When you move the backlight from place to place, the available items for that seat are displayed in the window on the right side of the screen. If you press the A button, when the available item (or more than one) is displayed in the window, when you are shown what will happen to the character's stats, if that item is equipped. Click A again on Equ Page 12 STATS This team lets you see the overall state After pressing the A button to select this command, then select a character to explore. The screen displays the following things (each of which is explained here): LV LV LV It shows a hoe experienced character that reflects how good they are with their abilities. HP Hit Points: This is how much damage a character can take before unconscious. The left number is the current amount, the correct number is the maximum possible at that time. EXP Experience: This is how much experience indicates the character and then how much is needed to reach the next level. AP Points ability: They are used for spells. Left number - current amount of Page 13; the right number is as possible at the time.
