To: FIDE Presidential Board

To: FIDE Presidential Board Dear First FIDE Deputy President Mr. Georgios Makropoulos, Dear members of FIDE Presidential Board,

Belarus Chess Federation kindly asks you to consider the exclusion of the Bids for 2022 Chess Olympiad from South Korea and Tunisia from voting procedure during the General Assembly.

According to the official letter from FIDE dated 25 June 2018, both candidates violated the OlSrmpiad bidding procedure:

The bid of South Korea is only for the 2022 Olympiad and has no data on the budget or any support from the government. Following the official information published on the FIDE web-site on23 January 2018: if FIDE receives a bid or bids offering to organizethe2}2} Women's World Championship (knock-out, 64players), the 202I FIDE World Cup (knock-out, I2Splayers) and the2022 Olympiad & Congress, and provided such bid(s) are in accordance with all FIDE provisions, FIDE will only consider these bids during its General Assembly in October 2018.

Tunisia sent its bid after the deadline and did not paid bid fee of 5,000 euro that doesn't meet the official bidding regulations. Accordittg p.1 1.3 of FIDE Financial Regulations, a Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Fee of 5,000 euros, which is not refundable.

Base on the above, Belarus Chess Federation kindly asks you not to encourage the violation of the official regulations and have regard to the fact that Belarus has met all the terms and conditions to host 2022 Chess Ol ad.

Looking forward to your positive decision. Sincerely, President of Belarus Chess Federation Anastasia Sorokina
