XTRA Sports 860 The Radio Home of Stanford Basketball

All of Stanford’s basketball games this season will be broad- cast live on XTRA Sports 860, a 50,000-watt radio station based in San Francisco. XTRA Sports 860 is one of the oldest radio stations on the West Coast. After serving Modesto and the surrounding area for 73 years, XTRA Sports 860 signed on the air licensed to the city and county of San Francisco on February 1, 2007. XTRA Sports 860 is owned by Pappas Radio of California, LP, an affiliate of Pappas Telecasting Companies, America’s largest privately held television broadcast com- pany in terms of household coverage. Learfield Sports manages multimedia rights for nearly 50 collegiate institutions and associations, including Stanford University. Learfield Sports also manages the marketing partnerships for the Black Coaches & Administrators (BCA) and provides exclusive sports programming to more than 1,000 radio stations throughout the country.
