David Bowsher First Vice President As Floridian members and friends of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA), we urge you to confirm Justices Barbara Lagoa and Robert Luck to the Harmeet Dhillon Vice President, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Communications Circuit court judges must be excellent lawyers with immense respect for the rule of Ronald Hicks Vice President, law, a deep understanding of the separation of powers and federalism, reverence for Election Education the Constitution, and a thoughtful judicial temperament. Justices Lagoa and Luck possess these qualities. Reb Brownell Vice President, Judicial Affairs Justice Lagoa is currently the first woman Cuban American to serve as a Justice on the Florida Supreme Court and previously was chief judge of the Third District Chris Marston Vice President, Court of Appeal in Miami, having been elected by her colleagues. During her Membership tenure she presided over approximately 11,500 cases and published over 500 written opinions. If confirmed, she would be the first Hispanic woman on the Don Wallace Vice President, Eleventh Circuit. She also previously served as an Assistant United States Programming Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. She is involved in charity and community causes and has served on the Board of Directors of Kristi House, a non- Mike Wakefield Vice President, profit organization that aids battered women and child victims of sexual abuse. Washington Operations Justice Luck currently serves as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Florida. Prior to Robert J. Horn Founding Chair his appointment, Justice Luck was a District Judge on the Florida Third District Court of Appeal, a Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, Michael B. Thielen and an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. He was Executive Director endorsed by the Miami Herald and won a retention election in 2017. Also in 2017, P.O. Box 18965 the Miami Jewish Legal Society awarded Justice Luck the “Rodef Sholem” Pursuer Washington, D.C. 20036 of Peace Award.
