Keywords: Geographical Javanese status, lexical differences, dialectometry, dialectology, Malang-Pasuruan-Probolinggo. The three research areas of Malang-Pasuruan-Probolinggo that located in East . They have their own unique characteristic assumption. The Javanese spoken in Malang is assumed as language that is not contaminated by Madurese. While, the Javanese spoken in Pasuruan and Probolinggo is contaminated by Madurese. Because of them, this research analyzes the Javanese dialect used in Malang-Pasuruan-Probolinggo whether has the same or different geographical language status. This research aims to analyze the difference of Javanese that is spoken by the people of Malang-Pasuruan-Probolinggo in term of lexical and phonological differences, and to determine the status of Javanese dialect in Malang-Pasuruan-Probolinggo from the lexical differences. This research uses dialectology as a theoretical approach. Dialectology is a branch of linguistics that studies about language variation and as a competent structure (Kridalaksana in Kisyani, 2009:1). The meaning of language variation is the different of form that is contained in a language This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The data is the given answer by the informant based on the 829 glosses. Then, they are transcribed in International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to create the specific speech sound from the informant. This research uses purposive technique sampling as a sampling technique. This research uses interview method to collect the data. The interview method is used to get the data of the pronunciation of the glosses given from informant directly. According to data analysis of three research areas among Malang- Pasuruan-Probolinggo that use 829 glosses, there are some lexical and phonological differences find in three research areas. There are 158 glosses of lexical differences, and also 57 phonological differences. Based on the data of lexical differences and dialectometry analysis result, Malang-Pasuruan- Probolinggo has different dialect of although the areas close each other. The language that used in Malang-Pasuruan has 79,11% with different dialect status. The language that used in Malang-Probolinggo has 72,78% with different dialect status. The language that used in Pasuruan-Probolinggo has 73,41% with different dialect status.
