I have worked as a legal assistant at Shaw Pittman for over two years and previously worked for almost four years as a legal assistant at Fisher Wayland Cooper Leader & Zaragoza LLP (which merged into Shaw Pittman). During my employment at Shaw Pittman and Fisher Wayland, I have worked in the communications area and have conducted research on a number ofprojects. 2. I prepared the exhibit entitled "UPNIWB/PAX Stations with News Programming." This study was conducted by researching the various television stations who air UPN, WB, or PAX programming. Markets where there were television duopolies were excluded. On the websites ofthe networks, I found lists oftheir affiliated stations. I then engaged in further research to detennine ifthe stations had a local news segment. This research was done by searching the station's website and/or TVGuide.com or by calling the station. If! detennined that a station had local news, I then researched to see whether the station produced their own local news or whether the news was produced by another source. This was done by contacting the station directly. Ifthe station had a local marketing agreement ("LMA") with another station as reflected by the 2002 Television & Cable Factbook, I contacted the station to detennine if their local news came from the LMA station, from another source, or whether they produced it. This research was conducted between October 18, 2002 and December 5, 2002. Executed under penalty ofperjury this 31 day ofDecember 2002.
