Products Introduced at the ISM and Around the World

he 2015 ISM in Cologne, Germany, saw an increase in trade visitors from last year’s fair. Approximately T37,000 visitors from 141 countries visited with 1,513 suppliers from 65 countries. Visitors found choco- late, confectionery and biscuit products as well as the new product segment themes of snacking, breakfast and coffee that were on display for the first time. The New Product Showcase had approximately 90 businesses participating in highlighting some of their innovative products for 2015. Visitors saw an increase in the use of sea salts, flavor combinations, spices, herbs and natural products. Many products were designed for ingredient-intolerant consumers with gluten-, lactose-, soy-, glucose- and fructose- free products, in a variety of combinations.
