Rowe, who was appointed to the 3rd District seat in December, made the announcement Tuesday, Sept. 17, shortly after Rep. Paul Cook, R-Yucca Valley, announced his intention to run for the 1st District supervisorial seat. Rowe, Cook’s former field representative and a former Yucca Valley Town Councilwoman, joined the board in December to serve the rest of former Supervisor James Ramos’ term.
