Operations update Split Rock Dam Releases Upper Namoi 27 March 2020 Update on Releases from Split Rock Dam WaterNSW is advising customers and stakeholders that releases from Split Rock Dam will recommence from Monday 30 March 2020. The recent inflows into Split Rock Dam have increased the total storage volume to over 19,000 ML. Releases will be used to supply water orders in the Manilla River from Split Rock Dam to the junction with the Namoi River. For customers located on the Namoi River (below Manilla), water orders will be supplied (were possible) using the inflows from the Namoi Unregulated River. Customers wishing to take water from their high security, general security or stock and domestic licences are reminded to place an order for their water. Planning Water Releases WaterNSW would like to ensure that water releases are undertaken in the most efficient manner possible as this helps to extend the longevity of supply. To assist WaterNSW with planning water releases, customers with available carryover water are encouraged to email their future planned water orders to [email protected]. In the email, please indicate the following information: • Name, contact details and licence number/s • River section – above or below Manilla • Approximate weekly demand through to the end of June 2020 • If pulse releases and intermittent supply will suit your needs, please indicate the maximum duration between taking water and any other relevant information that will help us understand your water needs.
