We’ll figure out some cleaning procedures, and if you’re comfortable making some flights, please contact Paul at [email protected] . I’ll coordinate the number of seats available, and then figure out what type of advertising we should do. EAA’s online registration should help match the number of kids with the number of seats available to prevent disappointment from both the pilots and kids. EAA is offering double Young Eagle credits for flights during June, July and August. The chapter will receive $10 for each child flown to be used for educational purposes or Young Eagles expenses. Looking for CFI with Aircraft One of our new members is looking for a local CFI who would be able to provide training in their aircraft. His experience with area schools are that instructors move on after gaining flight time, so he’s looking for a stable situation. If you’re able to help, or have a lead, contact Edward Knight at [email protected] , and we will forward your message to him. Pancake Breakfast We held our first pancake breakfast in over a year on May 29. Using all the experience gained from our previously released EDGE 540 and its 64” version we de- signed this even bigger evolution including some revolutionary features. For the first time this model presents a brand new method of joining parts - stronger, easier to assemble and more precise. And again, the flight characteristics have improved not only by lowering the overall wing loading, but also by better weight distribution, and improved aerodynamics. Large control surfaces with allows for performing extreme 3D maneuvers, while precision and symmetry of the wing profile predetermines this RC model plane to flying scale precision aerobatics. The unique servo direct drive technology used for ailerons links the control surfaces directly to the servos without any backlash with maximum precision and immediate response to the sticks. Sport Tim Barnes-Clay gets our engines revving with a Red Bull look at the most thrilling World air race in the world Air Race reated in 2003, and officially the World Championship of air racing since 2005, the Red Bull Air Race is followed by Championship millions of fans across the globe. The fastest motorsport series in the world Cfeatures 14 of the best race pilots in a pure motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. Using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes, pilots navigate a low-level aerial track made up of air-filled pylons 25 meters high. New since 2014 is the Challenger Cup, a competition which enables young talented pilots to work towards gaining entry into the Master Class of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. When the 2015 Red Bull Air Race World Championship kicked off in Abu Dhabi on 13th/14th February, defending champion Nigel Lamb had his work cut out for him. The Brit was pushed to the limits by the 2008 world champion Hannes Arch who finished second overall last year – and the two-time world champion Paul Bonhomme, who won last year’s season opener in Abu Dhabi and was third overall in 2014. 1 waterfrontmagazines.co.uk 2 Sport In what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive fields in the history of the world’s fastest motorsports series, Lamb will also be trying to stay on top of the expanded roster of 14 pilots in the high-speed, low-altitude sport. “Those sudden changes make the track even more difficult for the pilots when they’re flying through it at 370 km/h.” There were five different winners in the eight races last season as the gaps between victory and defeat dwindled to their closest ever, just a mere thousandth of a second separating some heats, and nine of the 12 pilots made it onto the podium at least once.
