But Dwight knew that his farewell had to give back. So he decided to bring Las Vegas to Meigs County. In what he said was the biggest show of his career, Dwight put his plan in motion enlisting several helpers to get the show rolling. “This show took a lot of work from everyone involved. We perhaps have never put this much time into a show... but it did pay off. It took hours upon hours of planning, meeting hanging flyers, promoting... and to everyone who helped ... I thank you so much,” said Dwight. One of Elvis’ most remembered jumpsuit. The “Aloha jumpsuit” Dwight had not even sang a note and got a standing ovation from the crowd. “When I stepped out on stage in the Aloha jumpsuit you would have though that I was the real deal! I have never seen so many camera flashes in all my life. I am still seeing yellow dots,” said Dwight of the crowd’s reac- tion. “I received many, many complements that night from the fans.” Reminiscing back to the show, Dwight said that the experi- ence was “unreal” to him. “The Farewell concert to me was an unreal experience from beginning to end. It was everything that I hoped it would be and more...... a lot more .... like 2 hours more! Just kidding. I loved every minute of it,” said Dwight. “I would have to say that it ( the Farewell Concert) above all things I have done will be the most memorable...... and I thank all the workers, fans and just everyone who was there that night for making it happen.” When asked if the though would have been as big of a pro- duction that it was Dwight said, “ It was so crazy... I mean I knew it was going to be big but it really didn’t hit me until I stepped out onto the stage and everyone went crazy. It meant so much to me that all of my fans came out to support me at the biggest show of my career. It was a wonderful feeling..... it kinda made me realize what Elvis felt every time he stepped on stage.” After a few trips back and forth between Ohio and Florida for the move, Dwight and Meagan are now settling into their new home. “We really love it here. We have had many won- derful experiences so far and many more to come. I have been working on getting shows here in Florida and it is going well,” Said Dwight. “No I am not a ticket taker a Disney and I am not a fruit stand operator either. I will continue to perform my trib- ute show as long as the fans support me in it,” Dwight said. As part of the event, the show was video taped by docu- mentary film maker John Paget. According to Dwight, many fans have ordered videos and added that the videos are still on sale. “There was a problem with editing, but we should be get- ting the video soon and sending it out. Please bear with us. We hope to have this out to you soon.” For more pictures and to see them in color visit www.dwighticen- howerfanclub.com Attention Fans Although we would like to continue to send copies of this newsletter to all fans....
