He's been away for some time, but his ghosts have a way of catching up with him. Somehow, they figure that all the victims stayed at a particular alpine cabin on a particular night. Hole comes to believe that the murderer is someone whom he knows, but the person he suspects is exonerated upon arrest. The philosophy, the story, the unfolding of the plot - all perfect.
