Next term shapes up to bigger than ever with trips to Wagga for excursions, many sporting events happening, NAPLAN in Week 3 for students in years 3 and 5, work in preparation for the school’s 150th Anniversary and much more.

I would like to congratulate Kayden for making the NRL rep team. He is a very skilled athlete but more importantly always follows the rules and has great self-umpiring skills. All the best young fella!!

ANZAC Assembly at Tumut High

Today we were special guests of Tumut High Making the ANZAC wreath with Jodi School at their ANZAC Assembly where they paid a special tribute to the valuable contribution that Aboriginal Australians have made in war. Sounding awesome, Kayden Ford-Herrington & Nate Jackson played the didge alongside Shane Herrington while the official procession entered the MPC. Aunty Sue Bulger begun with Welcome to Country then our school leader from last year, Anisha O’Brien (who this year was chosen as one of 4 Student Representatives in Year 7) read a poem about the Aboriginal soldiers at the Siege of Tobruk in 1941. Wiradjuri Elder Stan Russell gave a moving insight as guest speaker.
