The 2021 season marks Hajek’s fifth season as the UCCS Baseball Head Coach.

Before the 2020 season was cut short due to COVID-19, Hajek and the Mountain Lions were off to their best start in program history as they held an overall 11-7 record and 4-0 RMAC record. Coming off a series sweep of Colorado Christian University, UCCS had extended their winning streak to nine games as they registered a perfect home record of 9-0.
