IZingari were well contained for much of their innings with all bowlers tying the batsmen down and tumbling consistently. However in the end IZ passed the Yaralla total with one over to spare for the loss of 7 wickets.

An easy win against Old Aloysians was followed by a loss to eventual Jack Pace Shield finalists Know Old Boys. In these matches Robbie Bromhead scored a very fine 50 n.o. and David Ross was the pick of the bowlers.

Our match on 7 March against Beavers Cricket Club saw Yaralla win this 20/20 fixture convincingly scoring 4/154 and rolling Beavers for 128. Yaralla won the toss and elected to bat on a deck looking a little green. However this didn’t seem to faze the Yaralla batsmen as they went about compiling a competitive 4/154 from their 20 overs. With the ball, Yaralla struck early to leave Beavers 3/24 in the 3rd over, however a flourish had Beavers on track at 3/60 in the 8th over before a collapse sparked by Clayton Telfer saw Beavers lose 5/13 in 5 overs.
