Hirofumi wakes up one morning to find he can't remember the last two years. He discovers to his shock that in these two years he met and fell in love with another boy, Daigo. Dear Myself (Yaoi) two were a bit too codependent for my liking, and the story was very heavy on the angst and drama while some things were talked about with a matter-of-factness that I found rather shocking. This is the kind of book where I'm rea As much as I love amnesia as a trope, I didn't like this manga as much as I thought I would. Yes, Daigo has had some terrible things happen to him, but those are reasons that Dear Myself (Yaoi) a manipulative, emotionally abusive jerk, not a free pass for him to continue to be so. And Hirofumi pandering to Daigo's issues to his own detriment is no basis for a relationship. Add in the constant "no homo" theme in a yaoi manga! View 1 comment. Pretty interesting premise and it's quite engaging but not enough for full 4 stars. Didn't like the artwork and I don't see myself wanting to reread it in future. So it's a 3. I did like this one, although there were nonconsensual scenes and some remarks that were really gross. I wish BL manga didn't rely so heavily on these kinds of tropes. The tug-of-war between emotions and a weird gut feeling were a nice concept, but the characters and their interactions weren't fleshed out enough to entice me. Everything felt quite rushed. One of the reasons for this is that these themes in manga and manhwa usually occur in genres not direc- ted towards an (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) audience. To see how Swedish public libraries treat su titles and why they treat them as they do, we exami- ned a selection of public libraries, their collections, acquisitions, cataloguing and shelving of relevant titles. e theory used is mainly Grant Campbell’s binarisms, subject access to literature and critical analysis of knowledge organisation. ree methods were utilised: online directory seares, a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with librarians. We found a number of relevant titles. Among the selection criterions used, lib- rarians mentioned acquisition requests and title reviews. Several libraries did not perform original cataloguing or did not use subject headings indicating homosexual themes. So- me of the subject headings used to indicate su themes were manga terms, others were terms directed towards users seeking literature with homosexual themes. Shelving practi- ses varied slightly, depending, among other things, on what librarians perceived to be the target audience. Some libraries displayed titles with homosexual themes during occasions su as pride festivals. Overall, the libraries we examined claimed not to give any spe- cial treatment to titles with homosexual themes.
