The Lions will play its first-ever match at Osceola County Stadium, the 5,400-seat stadium located on the grounds of the Orlando City SC Training Complex at Osceola Her- itage Park. The game will be presented by Orlando Health. Fans looking to become season ticket members can reserve their spot in line for seat location here. Group ticket information for the upcoming season can also be found at the link here or by calling (855) ORL-CITY. Single game ticket information will be announced at a later date. Fans can reserve their spot to the home opener now through the Home Opener Holiday Pack presented by Orlando Health, which includes two (2) tickets to the 2020 home openers for Orlando City B (USL League One), Orlando City (MLS) and Orlando Pride (NWSL). Details on that package, which also include two limited-edition coffee mugs, can be found here. 2020 will mark Orlando City B’s first season playing at Osceola Heritage Park and their second in League One. The Lions will also serve as the opponent for three teams’ 2020 home openers. Orlando will start its 2020 United Soccer League (USL) League One campaign on Saturday, March 28 at New England Revolu- tion II, new to League One in 2020, before traveling to face North Texas SC on Saturday, April 4.

ORLANDO, Fla.- Orlando City SC has secured the rights to an additional facility in Osceola County, adding the 5,400 seat stadium located on the grounds of the Club’s new training complex at Osceola Heritage Park (OHP). The Club will make the stadium the new home field for Orlando City B starting in the 2020 United Soccer League (USL) League One season. The former baseball park will undergo a full redevelopment to become a soccer-specific field ahead of the 2020 USL League One season, and will be used for soccer matches as well as other events. The move comes in conjunction with the Club’s relocation of its training operations to the Orlando City SC Training Complex at Osceola Heritage Park, which was announced earlier this year. “The addition of Osceola County Stadium is another major step in the growth and expansion of our Club infrastructure alongside Exploria Stadium, the Orlando City SC Training Complex at Osceola Heritage Park and the Orlando Pride training facility at Sylvan Lake Park,” Orlando City SC CEO Alex Leitão said. “Not only will the stadium provide a new home field for Orlando City B, but it will complete the move in having our entire men’s development structure at one location; a location that all players - from our Development Academy to USL League One to the First Team - will call home.

Before moving into hospital operations, José served as AVP of Government & Community Relations. MLS as a Sports Product – the Prominence of the World’s Game in the U.S. April 8, 2021 Abstract The purpose of this Working Paper is to analyze how soccer at the professional level in the U.S., with Major League Soccer as a focal point, has developed over the span of a quarter of a century. It is worthwhile to examine the growth of MLS from its first game in 1996 to where the league currently stands as a business as it moves past its 25th anniversary. The 1994 World Cup (held in the U.S.) and the subsequent implementation of MLS as a U.S. professional league exerted a major positive influence on soccer participation and fandom in the U.S. Consequently, more importance was placed on soccer in the country’s culture. The research reported here explores the league’s evolution and development through the cohesion existing between its sporting and business development, as well as its performance.

In November 2011, there were 6,082 licensed agents worldwide: 41% of them were domiciled within countries hosting the big five European leagues: England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France. This research project firstly investigates shares in the representation market of players in the five major European championships. By presenting the results of a survey questionnaire, it analyses the socio-demographic profile of licensed football agents in the above mentioned countries, the business structure of their activity, the different kinds of services provided, and the way in which they are performed from a relational point of view (network approach). The analysis of shares highlights that the big five league players’ representation market is highly concentrated: half of the footballers are managed by 83 football agents or agencies. Our study reveals the existence of closed relational networks that clearly favors the concentration of players under the control of few agents. Footballers are not equally distributed between intermediaries. Conversely, dominant actors exist alongside dominated agents. One fifth of the agents having answered to our questionnaire manage the career of half of the players represented on the whole.
