“CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES COURSE”

Upon completion of this 24-hour course, students will have the skills necessary to produce a variety of analytical products that detail every aspect of a criminal enterprise, from how they are connected, to their and patterns of life, and how to use this information to set up future operations. These analytical products include; Association Matrices, Link Analysis Diagrams, Telephone Toll Diagrams, and Time Event Charts. Students will also have an excellent understanding of the Criminal Intelligence Analysis process and will possess the necessary skills to properly exploit documents. Students will also understand how computers can be used to perform analytical functions in support of and other organizations.

Instructor Information: Bill Crawford has extensive experience in the fields of Criminal Intelligence Analysis and Analysis. Much of his work has been in support of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in the United States and counterdrug task forces operating in Central and South America. Mr. Crawford has also provided Criminal Intelligence Analysis training to law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. He has worked as an adjunct instructor of Criminal Intelligence Analysis Techniques at the North Carolina Justice Academy, and a Crime Analyst Supervisor at the Fayetteville Department in North Carolina. More recently, Mr. Crawford worked over seven years as an Irregular Warfare Analyst and Analytical Team Lead for a company providing analytical support to Department of Defense personnel fighting the Global War on Terrorism, resulting in multiple overseas deployments to hostile fire areas. Mr. Crawford has also recently provided analytical support to US Government agencies; law firms; large, publicly traded corporations; and private companies. He is also a licensed Private Investigator and President of CRIMINT Analysis, a company providing Criminal Intelligence Analysis training, and Investigative Analytical support to law enforcement, law firms, small and large companies and individuals.
