AUSTRALIA’S GREATEST DESERT RACE QUEENS BIRTHDAY WEEKEND 10-13 JUNE 2016

Ian Moss playing at Finke

The Finke Desert Race Club are pleased to announce that Aussie rocker will be playing a concert in the lead up to this year’s Tatts Finke Desert Race.

With the support of Indian and Victory Motorcycles, the multi-talented musician will participate in the Ride Back to Alice to perform at Scrutineering on Friday 10th June.

“This is fantastic news that Ian Moss wants to play at our event,” said Finke Desert Race Club President Antony Yoffa.

‘’Not only will it boost numbers on the Friday night, it will give many fans of Cold Chisel a chance to see and hear the man behind much of their music”.

Ian Moss was born and raised in before relocating to in his final years of schooling. Along with being a founding member of Cold Chisel, he is a highly accomplished musician with a distinguished solo career. Ian is an ARIA* award winner as a solo artist (1990) and as a member of Cold Chisel has been inducted in the ARIA Hall of Fame (2003).

The Ride Back to Alice will depart from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane simultaneously to arrive in Alice Springs on the 10th June and will raise awareness for the Black Dog Ride Charity.

Black Dog Ride is a national suicide prevention charity whose mission is to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention. Since 2009, Black Dog Ride has conducted over 100 official rides, and has raised over $1,800,000 for mental health services.

The Scrutineering entry fee of $15 per person (with under 16 year’s free) includes the concert.

The 2016 Tatts Finke Desert Race will be held on the Queen’s Birthday weekend from 10-13 June.
