Cold Chisel to Roll Out the Biggest Archival Release in Australian Music History! 56 New and Rare Recordings and 3 Hours of Previously Unreleased Live Video Footage to be Unveiled! Sydney, Australia - Under total media embargo until 4.00pm EST, Monday, 27 June, 2011 --------------------------------------------------------------- 22 July, 2011 will be a memorable day for Cold Chisel fans. After two years of exhaustively excavating the band's archives, 22 July will see both the first- ever digital release of Cold Chisel’s classic catalogue as well as brand new deluxe reissues of all of their CDs. All of the band's music has been remastered so the sound quality is better than ever and state of the art CD packaging has restored the original LP visuals. In addition, the releases will also include previously unseen photos and liner notes. Most importantly, these releases will unleash a motherlode of previously unreleased sound and vision by this classic Australian band. Cold Chisel is without peer in the history of Australian music. It’s therefore only fitting that this reissue program is equally peerless. While many major international artists have revamped their classic works for the 21st century, no Australian artist has ever prepared such a significant roll out of their catalogue as this, with its specialised focus on the digital platform and the traditional CD platform. The digital release includes 56 Cold Chisel recordings that have either never been released or have not been available for more than 15 years. These include: A “Live At

Williams School of Graduate Studies Copyright by Natalya Weinstein Miller 2018 All Rights Reserved Abstract JIM SHUMATE AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF BLUEGRASS FIDDLING Natalya Weinstein Miller, B.A., University of Massachusetts M.A., Appalachian State University Chairperson: Sandra L. Ballard Born and raised on Chestnut Mountain in Wilkes County, North Carolina, James “Jim” Shumate (1921-2013) was a pioneering bluegrass fiddler. His position at the inception of bluegrass places him as a significant yet understudied musician. Shumate was a stylistic co-creator of bluegrass fiddling, synthesizing a variety of existing styles into the developing genre during his time performing with some of the top names in bluegrass in the 1940s, including Bill Monroe in 1945 and Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs in 1948. While the "big bang" of bluegrass is considered to be in 1946, many elements of the bluegrass fiddle style were present in Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys prior to 1945. Jim Shumate’s innovative playing demonstrated characteristics of this emerging style, such as sliding double-stops (fingering notes on two strings at once) and syncopated, bluesy runs.

“PAUL ROBERT BURTON BAND” The “Paul Robert Burton Band” is a musical collaboration, presenting to the public an expanding ensemble of world-class virtuoso musicians from an infinitely wide variety of musical styles and genres. Every player is unique, however they all have something very much in common, commitment and dedication to the Arts. Music can transport the soul to higher realms and these musicians together invoke that feeling. “ We can easily say that Paul Robert Burton and his band were the standout act at this year’s Kiama Jazz & Blues Festival. Where ever he played and in whatever venue (café, outdoor concert, club) or line up (from solo to full on band) the crowds were huge, bopping and excited. Venues were full to capacity and then some! During a sidewalk café appearance, the crowds spilled onto the street & stopped traffic! Apart from his musical gifts, Paul was appreciated by festival management as a source of information regarding other artists, and brought great energy, inspiration and spirit to our Festival. People raved for weeks afterwards, and purchased Paul’s CD’s aplenty, and we have had considerable requests since the festival as to where & when Paul might play again. ” Ross Eggleton, Festival Director Eevi Stein, Festival Coordinator & Publicity Kiama Jazz & Blues Festival April 1- 3 2011 PAUL ROBERT BURTON (Songwriter, Producer, Sound Engineer, Upright Bass, Foot Drums, Guitarlele, Harmonicas, Ocarinas and Vocals) www.paulrobertburton.com www.reverbnation.com/paulrobertburton www.youtube.com/paulrobertburton Paul Robert Burton is a Multi-tasking, Multi-instrumentalist, Singer, Songwriter, Producer and Sound Engineer. • “Youve Got This”
TASMANIAN CANINE ASSOCIATION Katelyn Innes “Youve Got This” VIRTUAL BENEFIT SHOW 2021 On the 8th of May 2021 Katelyn’s world changed. Just 25 years old and 23 weeks pregnant with her second child Katelyn collapsed at a dog show suffering a life- threatening subarachnoid haemorrhage. Young, strong, healthy and vibrant, Katelyn was brought up in the dog world. Her mother Yanina and Grandmother Fran along with Katelyn breed British Bulldogs under the “Paseya” prefix, also having over a 20 year love interest in their other heart breed the Dalmatian, Katelyn and Yanina started their own kennel and now breed them in partnership under the “Ourdals” prefix. Progressing through the Junior Handlers ranks and representing the State on several occasions, Katelyn is very well known in the show scene, not only for handling her own dogs to many Best in Shows but campaigning others as well. Not one to say “NO”, she goes out of her way to help others whether it be handling, holding, or even saving that illustrious “Top Knot!” Katelyn ‘s involvement in Juniors has led her to be on the Junior Handlers Committee which she has served on for several years, she is also Secretary of an All Breeds Club and a committee member of her Breed club in Tasmania. Understandably, this medical condition has had a devastating impact on Katelyn’s life and her nearest and dearest, she was in ICU in a coma for nearly 3 weeks before being transferred to a ward where she has started a rehabilitation program. Katelyn’s condition has affected her movement and co-ordination (significantly more on her left side) and she is working hard on her motor development, in both gross and fine motor skills.

Descriptive Summary Creator: Various Title: Brooklyn Theater Playbills and Programs Collection Date Span: 1875-1972 Abstract: The Brooklyn Theater Playbills and Programs Collection consists of 800 playbills and programs for motion pictures, musical concerts, high school commencement exercises, lectures, photoplays, vaudeville, and burlesque, as well as the more traditional offerings such as plays and operas, all from Brooklyn theaters. Quantity: 2.25 linear feet Location: Brooklyn Collection Map Room, cabinet 11 Repository: Brooklyn Public Library – Brooklyn Collection Reference Code: BC0071 Scope and Content Note The 800 items in the Brooklyn Theater Playbills and Programs Collection, which occupies 2.25 cubic feet, easily refute the stereotypes of Brooklyn as provincial and insular. From the late 1880s until the 1940s, the period covered by the bulk of these materials, the performing arts thrived in Brooklyn and were available to residents right at their doorsteps. At one point, there were over 200 theaters in Brooklyn. Frequented by the rich, the middle class and the working poor, they enjoyed mass popularity. With materials from 115 different theaters, the collection spans almost a century, from 1875 to 1972. The highest concentration is in the years 1890 to 1909, with approximately 450 items.
