ROLE OBJECTIVE

The role of the Airport Manager is that of leadership and S/He is responsible for the planning and day-to-day functional management and operation of the Airport such as Terminal Operations, Airside Operations, ARFF & Emergency, Airport Maintenance, Airport Safety, Security and Aero & Non- aero Commercial. Also responsible for plans, budgets and financial management, contracts, personnel administration, correspondence, stakeholder relations, leases, maintenance and construction, airside infrastructure, buildings, grounds, and all matters of statutory and regulatory compliance and enforcement at the Airport.

S/He is the accountable executive of the airport.

Being the airport functional head, the Airport Manager will co-ordinate all frontline operational matters between the various airport functional heads.

The Airport Manager, will attend all internal and external committee meetings and make decisions on frontline operational matters.

ROLE REQUIREMENT

The Airport Manager should possess good knowledge of the standards required in airport licensing, especially in the area of airside operations and possess minimum 15 years of working experience in public use airport operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Manage the people, assets, budgets and finances of the Airport.

▪ Manage relationships with airport Users including Airlines, Charter carriers, fixed base operators, general aviation operators, and other State agencies.

▪ Oversee daily airport operational activities in the areas of terminal operations, airside operations and ARFF & Emergency, as required by DGCA, and ensuring necessary standards are met on a daily basis.

▪ Manage Security obligations for the Airport and provide airport security functions in accordance with statutes, regulations and directives associated with BCAS.

▪ Oversee the implementation and deployment of all facility and system maintenance contractors and ensuring that necessary standards are met on a daily basis.

▪ Liaison with relevant government agencies in order to ensure smooth facilitation of airport ground operations.

▪ Engagement of existing aero & non-aero customers (passengers, airlines, ground handlers, concessionaires, etc.) with the aim to address concerns and improve service and efficiency of daily airport operations.

▪ Oversee efforts to undertake market research and analysis with the aim to identify new opportunities for both aero & non-aero commercial with the aim to improve turnover.

▪ Monitoring of daily airport revenue and expenditure and measuring its impact on the overall airport business plan.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Officer will be responsible for overall security services as per DGCA & ICAO norms. S/He is to ensure a high level of Airport security by establishing proper operating procedures at the airport and its surrounding area. S/He should develop a strong network with various government agencies such as BCAS HQ, RDCOS Hyderabad and District Police authorities etc. of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic: Should guide the stakeholders as per security norms laid down by BCAS, State Police etc Operational:

PRE-Airport operationalization . Make and maintain Airport Operator’s Security Programs. . Coordinate Aircraft Operator’s Security programs . As Head ARFF & Emergency Services, the incumbent will be responsible for Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting and Emergency Services. His duty is to maintain ARFF and Emergency services at Kurnool Airport as per laid down Airport category for smooth and orderly flow of Air traffic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic: 1. Identify Airport Fire Services operational requirements. 2. Plan and implement Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting requirement as per DGCA- CAR. 3. Identify training requirements for ARFF & Emergency employees 4. To liaison periodically with government bodies with respect to various approvals and permissions 5. ROLE OBJECTIVE

Function as the duty officer / officer in-charge of fire station during watch hour when in the absence of the Senior Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational:

 To ensure appropriate numbers of ARFF personnel is on duty. To brief the personnel and allot duties in various turnout vehicles / positions and also ensure that proper records are maintained in this regard.

 To ensure level of protection for the designated airport category (Cat-7) is always maintained during watch hour and to take appropriate actions in case there is any reduction of category.

 In case of aircraft emergencies / accidents / other emergencies ensure quick response of ARFF personnel and in the event off.

 To ensure duty personnel carry out all tests and inspections of ARFF appliances & equipment in accordance with established procedures (SOP & Checklist) and all relevant documentation is completed. To take/ initiate immediate action for rectification of defects reported /observed.
