BUS SERVICE CHANGES FROM MONDAY 31 AUGUST 2015 Council is making significant changes to the bus services it supports with effect from Monday 31 August 2015. These changes are necessary to reduce costs while continuing to provide services in communities where the current services are well used or where there is no alternative service. Services are being withdrawn from communities where journeys can be made by alternative services, although these alternatives may involve a longer journey or a higher fare. Service C64: Alloa Town Service This service will be renumbered as Service C1 and will operate to a slightly amended timetable, with a break of service in the middle of the day. Service C68: - Alloa Service C69: Glenochil - Alloa - Dollar Service C70: Menstrie - Alloa - Dollar These services will be withdrawn and replaced by a new Service C2 operating between Glenochil, Alloa and . This service will operate on Mondays to Fridays only. The changes will affect communities as follows: Alloa: Alloa Park Drive, Gaberston Avenue/Lambert Terrace and Morrison’s will no longer be served. Commercial services provided by First Bluebird, Mackie’s Coaches of Alloa and Stagecoach in Fife operate nearby. Other communities in Alloa will continue to be served, but there will be fewer journeys than before. Alva and Menstrie: These communities will be served by commercial services operated by First Bluebird, Mackie’s Coaches of Alloa and Stagecoach in Fife and by First Bluebird Service H1 to Alloa, and Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Cambus, Glenochil, Tillicoultry (Fir Park) and (The Orchard/Menstrie Road): These communities will be served by Service C2 on Mondays to Fridays, but there will be fewer journeys than before. Devonside: Devonside will be served by Service C2 on Mondays to Fridays, but there will be fewer journeys than before. There is also a commercial service operated by Mackie’s Coaches of Alloa. and : These communities will be served by Service C2 on Mondays to Fridays, but there will be fewer journeys than before. There are also commercial services operated by First Bluebird and Mackie’s Coaches of Alloa and First Bluebird Service H2 to Alloa, Clackmannan and Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Clackmannan, , Kennet and : There will be no change in these communities, as they are not on the route of Services C64-C70. Dollar: Dollar will be served by commercial service 23 – Kinross – St Andrews operated by Stagecoach in Fife and by First Bluebird Service H2 to Alloa, Clackmannan and Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Tullibody (Cambus Park): The Cambus Park area will be served by First Bluebird Service H1, linking Alva, Menstrie, Tullibody, Alloa, Clackmannan and Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
