Alto Saxophones Tubas Mr. Barber began playing comet when he was ten years old, tutored by his father, Mark Hagemann trumpeter Andrew Barber. From 1969 until 1972 he played in the Clay Concert Scott Singer Band, and Jazz Ensemble. During those years he also played with the Dimitri Lemay Derek Stoelting Jazz Assemblage, IUSB groups and other area concert and jazz bands. Annie Welling Following graduation from Clay Senior High School, Mr. Barber toured the Tenor Saxophone with the U.S. Army Studio Band for three years, receiving rewarding Carl Coan Percussion "on the job" solo training. After leaving the service band he went on the road with Kent Amsbarger the Tommy Dorsey Band, under the direction of Murry McCeaceran and Buddy Morrow, going on to Maynard Ferguson· s band for several more years. Baritone Saxophone William T. Engeman Mr. Barber has been a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Norman Haaser Roy Zimmerman Grant Parl< Orchestra. He has performed and recorded with the St. Louis and the Utah symphony and with such artists as , Joel Grey, Arr­ thony Q.Jim, Tommy Tune, Tony Bernett, Am Margaret, , Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Williams, Nancy Wilson, and Kemy Rogers . He recently played for the sound track from A League ofTk1rOwnand toured with Frank Sinatra (Sr.). He has played with Newton Wayland and the Midwest Pops for ten years.
