The trail meets an old road near the base of Sentinel Most commonly hiked one-way (downhill) from Glacier Point, the Pohono Trail rewards hikers with several viewpoints of Dome. Follow the road to the northeast side of the dome where the incline is less imposing. From here, scramble up the Yosemite Valley from the south rim.
