Francisca SequeiraMay 11, 2020 Pamela Bob, the New York-based award-winning actress known for her roles in “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” and “Hand to God”, has received a lot of recognition and praise for her work. She is funny, talented, and rivets her audience at every performance, whether on stage or in film. “Livin’ On a Prairie” is the award-winning short dark comedy that is Premiering on May 24th on www.LivinOnaPrairieTV.com and Facebook Watch. The six episodes of the series will be released one at a time, every Sunday afternoon starting May 24th, and ending June 21st, Father’s Day. The Reunion will also act as a fundraiser for The Actors Fund. Millions of “Little House on the Prairie” fans around the world will be thrilled to hear that after each episode, Bob will be joined for the post-show discussions by some of the stars from the series. The interviews will be pre-recorded via Zoom, but fans are encouraged to visit the website to enter their questions for the cast, with a chance for their question to be aired on the broadcast and win prizes. Additionally, fans can comment in real time during the broadcast. After 45 years, “Little House on the Prairie” still holds the record for the most successful and longest-running show, thanks to the genius of legend Michael Landon, and fans are still passionate about it—even more so today than when it initially aired. Many stars got their first shot on the show, including Shannen Doherty, Jason Bateman, Melora Hardin, Kyle Richards, Todd Bridges and Sean Penn. Of course, Melissa Gilbert, or “half-pint”, is still a household name. The reunion will also act as a fundraiser to help The Actors Fund. The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that provides emergency financial assistance in helping the most vulnerable in the performing arts and those in financial crisis with assistance for basic living expenses such as essential medications, to help prevent evictions, and to pay for food or utilities. Cast members who will be participating include Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson), Charlotte Stewart (Miss Beadle), Karen Grassle (Caroline Ingalls “Ma”), Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder), Hersha Parady (Alice Garvey), Radames Pera (John), Pamela Roylance (Sarah Carter), Dave Friedman (Jason Carter) and Wendi Lou Lee (Baby Grace). After every episode, there will be fun and interesting discussions with different cast members from Little House on the Prairie. The first appearance after the Premiere will be Arngrim and Stewart together. Fans can submit any questions specifically to them by visiting the official website of “Livin’ On a Prairie” and from there they will be able to see who will be appearing at the end of the next week’s episode, and return weekly to ask more questions. Some lucky fans will be chosen to have their question read, or even be chosen to video record their question to be aired on the broadcast. They will also win some great gifts. “Little House on the Prairie” depicted life in the American mid-West in the 19th century and was based on the real-life and books of Laura Ingalls Wilder. “Livin’ On a Prairie” is not about the popular series itself, but it makes clever use of it to show the main character’s disappointment and disillusionment with life. In other words, you don’t have to know anything about “Little House on the Prairie” to love “Livin’ On a Prairie”. In the series, late 30 something Pamela is a huge fan of the TV show “Little House on the Prairie.” She is misunderstood and socially awkward and her life appears to be going nowhere, as the rest of the world buzzes around, living theirs. The TV series and its simple message about community, family, and unconditional love have become her only source of comfort, or as Pamela Bob frankly puts it: “Her drug of choice.” Fans of the popular television drama will appreciate and understand the turmoil of the main character and how she has become disconnected. Her unhappiness can only be cured through her acceptance that she needs to heal herself. She must find a way to recover and get back on board with living her life. The series carries a message for everyone, even if they have never watched “Little House on the Prairie.” Fans of the show will be thrilled to know that there are some cameo appearances by Charlotte Stewart (Twin Peaks and Eraserhead) who played the role of Miss Beadle, and Alison Arngrim (also a best-selling author) who portrayed Nellie Oleson. “Livin’ On a Prairie” was part of the official selection for the Tribeca TV Festival. The series won Best TV/WEB Series Award at the Indie FEST, and did the same at Hollyweb, and the Los Angeles International Film Festival. It was also awarded at the Best Shorts and the Paris Lift-Off Global Network Awards. Pamela Bob also won the Best Actress award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival for her role as Pamela. “This is a story everybody can relate to,” Bob has said in interviews. “Everyone of us today craves comfort and entertainment, and this was just the right time to bring the wonderful cast of the series together, as I launch the series.” Pamela Bob has played some dynamic roles on Broadway, and has shown her fans that she is also a talented script writer. “Livin’ On a Prairie” is her second script, her first being the short comedy Cotton Balls for Clouds”, which premièred at the iPhone Festival in NYC in 2016. Everyone is eagerly awaiting this premiere and fans of the much-loved “Little House on the Prairie” will finally have the chance to see the cast reunion from the show that has stood the test of time.
