“Gateway Film Center has a long tradition of uniting the community through accessible events and inclusive programming,” said GFC President Chris Hamel. “From Book to Film aligns the film center with a great strategic partner (Columbus Metropolitan Library) and helps make the central Ohio community a better place to live.”

“Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Summer Reading Challenge keeps kids reading during the summer to help prevent loss of critical skills learned during the school year,” said Patrick Losinski, CEO of the library. “We know that reading during the summer break results in better success in school, now and in the future. We value our partnership with Gateway Film Center and how their From Book to Film series provides another avenue for kids to remain engaged in reading and learning during the summer.”

CML’s nine-week Summer Reading Challenge kicks off June 1 and runs through Aug. 3. Visit columbuslibrary.org/summerreading for more information.
