CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

In anticipation of the Adventist Bioethics 5th Annual ADVENTIST BIOETHICS Conference on April 27-28, 2020, in CONFERENCE Orlando, , healthcare professionals April 27-28, 2020 working for institutions affiliated with the Adventist Bioethics Consortium are invited to submit an abstract.

 The submission should highlight ongoing work or upcoming projects related to the conference theme, Ethics for the Ministry of Healing, addressing the ethical principles that guide us in the faithful delivery of Christ-centered healthcare.  Abstracts can focus on theoretical or practical initiatives by any discipline related to healthcare.  Proposals may be based on quantitative and qualitative research, normative theory, or conceptual analysis.  Proposals by multiple authors, or from multiple institutions, are encouraged, though only one submission form per abstract is necessary.  Authors of accepted abstracts will have an opportunity to share their work at Flash Sessions during the Adventist Bioethics Conference.  Abstract presentations will be 10 minutes in length followed by 5 minutes of moderated audience response.  Abstracts are due Friday, February 14, 2020.

Adventist Bioethics Conference Location: AdventHealth University, 671 Winyah Drive, Orlando FL 32803 Orlando International Airport is about 15 miles from AdventHealth University Ground Transportation from airport to hotels: Taxi about $45; Uber or Lyft about $35. When considering car rental bear in mind that some of the hotels have parking fees of $15-25 per night. Parking near AdventHealth University (AHU) is very limited:  The closest parking to AHU is at the King Street Parking Garage (5 minute walk to AHU). Fee: $4 per day.  There is also an offsite parking lot, located at Calvary Assembly Church on Minnesota Avenue (1.2 miles away). A shuttle bus provides free transportation to the AHU campus.
