Harry and Kathleen met when they were teenagers at the Bramcote Memorial Church Hall but Harry’s Dad wouldn’t let them marry until he was 21. They were both born and have lived in Broxtowe Borough all their lives and were married at Stapleford Parish Church. Harry worked for Plessey and Kathleen was in the hosiery trade.
