Parish Statement (draft)

The parish of Brough and Shatton lies to the south of the A618 Hope Valley road, east of Hope and Bradwell. Shatton is a relatively modern residential settlement, just over a mile directly east of Brough, accessed via the A6187 (Hope Road). Three farms sit at the end of Shatton Lane which imply the settlement had its roots in agriculture. Brough is located less than a mile from Bradwell to the southwest Photo needed here and Hope to the northwest. It is a linear settlement which lies south of the . Brough has a number of businesses located in industrial units to the south of the settlement and a large agricultural merchant adjacent to the River Noe.
