The last time Michelle Graves saw her mother, 62-year-old Jane Ashby, was Wednesday morning. Although she lives in Las Vegas, Graves was visiting to help her mother, who lost her husband to cancer in December. She said Ashby left home about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, saying she had a meeting at her office in American Fork. That evening, when Ashby had not returned home from work, Graves began to get worried. “When she didn’t come home, I found some of her coworkers’ phone numbers online to ask when she left work, but it turned out she hadn’t been to work and she didn’t even have a meeting,” said Graves.
