Annex A1 Information on Bto Flats in May 2021 Exercise ANNEX A1 INFORMATION ON BTO FLATS IN MAY 2021 EXERCISE Garden Bloom @ Tengah Located in the Garden District of Tengah town, Garden Bloom @ Tengah will be bounded by Tengah Central and Tengah Garden Walk. The development comprises 7 residential blocks that are 15 storeys in height. See details in Table A(1)(a) below. To harness nature’s benefits for greater environmental health and residents’ well-being, HDB has applied its Biophilic Town Framework to guide the enhancement of existing natural assets and the design and development of neighbourhood landscapes in Tengah. Residents can look forward to nature-centric neighbourhoods that offer a strong sense of place, better well-being, and an enhanced quality of life. 3 A town-wide Active, Beautiful, and Clean Waters design strategy will be introduced to draw people closer to nature, with a variety of outdoor spaces and landscape features which slow down and treat stormwater runoff. For more details on Tengah town, please visit HDB’s exhibition at HDB Hub, Toa Payoh. 4 Tengah will be the first town to integrate housing developments with the area’s surrounding greenery and biodiversity. One major attraction will be the approximately 100m-wide and 5km-long Forest Corridor, which will form part of the larger network of greenery that connects the Western Water Catchment Area and the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. In collaboration with the National Parks Boards, various tree species will be planted in the Forest Corridor to transform it into a rich forest habitat. 5 Complementing the Forest Corridor is the Forest Fringe, a 15m- to 20m-wide linear greenscape that will provide a tranquil and rustic environment for residents to enjoy flora and fauna, and envelop the town within a scenic and natural landscape. In addition, extensive park spaces, such as the Central Park and Community Farmways, will string key amenities and facilities together, providing a safe environment for residents to access their daily amenities. 6 Tengah will be the first HDB town to have a car-free town centre nestled next to a lush green park. To encourage green commuting, there will be dedicated walking and cycling paths along all roads to create seamless connections within the town. The upcoming Jurong Region Line and bus services will serve the public transport needs of residents. 1 7 Tengah is also the first HDB town to be planned with town-wide smart technologies from the outset. Guided by HDB’s Smart Town Framework, the various districts will integrate smart technology in its design, so that residents can enjoy a quality living environment. Autonomous vehicles will be piloted in Tengah town to provide convenient first-mile-last-mile connection to key transport nodes and amenities. 8 Vibrant commercial facilities are planned for the town centre and in the districts, complementing other shopping and dining options in the nearby Bukit Batok town. Check out the heartland shops on Where2Shop@HDB. 9 To encourage green and sustainable living, Garden Bloom @ Tengah will have several eco-friendly features such as: • Separate chutes for recyclable waste • Regenerative lifts to reduce energy consumption • Bicycle stands to encourage cycling as an environmentally-friendly form of transport • Parking spaces to facilitate future provision of electric vehicle charging stations • Use of sustainable products in the development • Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters design features to clean rainwater and beautify the landscapes 10 Garden Bloom @ Tengah will come with the following smart solutions to reduce energy usage, and contribute to a more sustainable and safer living environment: • Smart-enabled homes with provisions to support easy installation of smart systems • Smart Lighting in common areas to reduce energy usage • Smart Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System to optimise the deployment of resources for cleaner and fuss-free waste disposal 11 Home owners at Garden Bloom @ Tengah can subscribe to have air conditioning provided from a centralised cooling system. This system for public housing is the first of its kind in Singapore. 12 Cooling to each household unit will come from highly energy efficient chillers, and home owners need not install nor maintain outdoor condensing units on their air- conditioner ledge. They will get to enjoy cost savings while contributing to a sustainable lifestyle in this eco-friendly district. Home owners may decide to subscribe to the centralised cooling system after signing the Agreement for Lease. MacPherson Weave takes its name from its colourful façade, which features interweaving bands of colours inspired by tropical fruits grown in Singapore. The development will include a fruit-themed children’s playground alongside landscaped spaces and fitness areas. 15 The development comprises 7 residential blocks ranging from 15 to 19 storeys in height. See details in Table A(1)(b) below. Residents can enjoy an evening stroll or participate in outdoor activities at one of several nearby parks, or go for a jog at the park connector along Pelton Canal. They also have easy access to Geylang East Swimming Complex and the MacPherson Community Centre. The Geylang East Library is a short bus ride away. 18 Parents with school-going children can consider nearby schools such as Canossa Catholic Primary School, Maha Bodhi School, Geylang Methodist Primary and Secondary schools, as well as Manjusri Secondary School. As its name suggests, Woodgrove Ascent will be the tallest development in the vicinity. This development comprises 7 residential blocks ranging from 15 to 25 storeys in height. Alternatively, they can take part in activities at the Fuchun Community Club and Woodlands Community Club. At 38-storeys high, the development is imagined as a beacon to the surrounding neighbourhood centre and pedestrian mall. The residential block comprises 175 units of 3- and 4-room flats with integrated commercial facilities located on the lower floors. Residents at Telok Blangah Beacon will be served by the existing multi-storey car park at Block 78A. See details in Table A(1)(d) below.

Lee, Oliver Senn, Kristian Kloeckl, Carlo Ratti, Patrick Jaillet September 2, 2013 Many modern and growing cities are facing declines in public transport usage, with few efficient methods to explain why. In this article, we show that urban mobility patterns and transport mode choices can be derived from cellphone call detail records coupled with public transport data recorded from smart cards. Specifically, we present new data mining approaches to determine the spatial and temporal variability of public and private transportation usage and transport mode preferences across Singapore. Our results, which were validated by Singapore’s quadriennial Household Interview Travel Survey (HITS), revealed that there are 3.5 (HITS: 3.5 million) million and 4.3 (HITS: 4.4 million) million inter-district passengers by public and private transport, respectively. Along with classifying which transportation connections are weak or underserved, the analysis shows that the mode share of public transport use increases from 38 % in the morning to 44 % around mid-day and 52 % in the evening. 1Introduction Securing public transportation ridership is critical for developing a sustainable urban future. However, existing systems for analyzing and identifying weaknesses in public transport connec- tions face major limitations.     Nature Society Singapore (NSS)’s Position on HDB’s Tengah Forest Plan Summary The HDB’s plan for a ‘Forest Town’ at Tengah is laudable in the setting aside of a 5km-long and 100m-wide green corridor called the ‘Tengah Nature Way’ (TNW) --- for wildlife dispersal between the Western Catchment and the Central Nature Reserve (Bukit Timah & Central Catchment). The plan to green and soften up the one and large Canal in the area running north into the Kranji Reservoir extends admirably what has been accomplished at the Kallang River in Bishan Park. But disappointingly, HDB’s vision of a forest town involves only about 7 % or slightly more of the original forest being set aside for the conservation of biodiversity. Given the impressive records from NParks’ survey of wildlife in the area, NSS’ position is that this will be tragic for the rich wildlife currently inhabiting the area. In terms of ecological sustainability, there is lacking a robust plan for the ‘Forest Town’. Here, NSS proposes that there should be two core forest areas set aside at both ends of the TNW as havens for the remaining wildlife in the area after the completion of the housing development --- both of which can also function as resting and calming stop-overs for those wildlife on long-range dispersal. NSS also indicates here the directional thrust on both the western and the eastern end of TNW for an effective connectivity between the Western Catchment and the Central Nature Reserve --- as well as a green waterway connectivity from the Canal to the marshland of the Kranji Marshes Park to the north.

Net profit attributable to equity holders of the Company rose to S$3.4 million in 9M2017 compared to a net loss of S$8.5 million in 9M2016, mainly from improved results of associates’ and joint ventures’ profits. Group revenue decreased by 46.1% from S$212.4 million in 9M2016 to S$114.6 million in 9M2017. The decline in revenue in both the General Construction Segment and Specialist Engineering Segment were due to lower project work activities in the current financial year. However, gross profit increased by S$8.1 million with an improvement in the gross profit margin from 3.6% to 13.8% over the two periods in comparison. Share of results of joint ventures jumped 219.4% from S$0.7 million in 9M2016 to S$2.3 million in 9M2017. This was largely due to the progressive recognition of income from the sale of condominium units of The Wisteria. To date, all 216 units were sold and TOP was expected in the second half of 2018.
