John Montgomery, V.P. and Chief Risk Officer, Rocky Mountain Community Reinvestment Corporation, gave the financial industry perspective that has worked with affordable housing and ADUs, and how the state can play a role.

Cameron Diehl, Executive Director, Utah League of Cities and Towns, gave a presentation on the matter.

Jonathan Hardy, Director, Housing and Community Development Division, voiced the department's support on the matter and willingness to help out.

Chair Dunnigan opened the meeting to public comment.

Francisca Blanc, Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator, Utah Housing Coalition, voiced the Coalition's support of Rep. Ward's effort and desire to work together on the matter.

George Chapman spoke against using ADUs to help create affordable housing and offered alternative ideas.

Tim Chambless spoke in support of encouraging the use of ADUs to address affordable housing.

Chair Dunnigan closed public comment and Rep. Ward gave closing comments.

Fred C. Cox, Architect, spoke on the fire code and how it is applied differently in different jurisdictions.

Fred C. Cox, Architect, spoke on the fire code and how it is applied differently in different jurisdictions.

Coy D. Porter, State Fire Marshal, State Fire Marshal Division, spoke on the matter.

Jason Buhler, Deputy Fire Marshal, Salt Lake City, spoke on the issue.

Brad Larson, Fire Marshal, Unified Fire Authority, gave their perspective on the matter.
