Lindberg rated it really liked it Shelves: reviewed-by-secomics-and-graphic-novelsweird-fiction. Then it got abruptly cancelled. Here's my review of Omnibus 1 The Silent Hill Omnibus omnibus 2 comprises 3 more installments of the comic adaptions for the Silent Hill game franchise from . The art in this one Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 more clear and understandable, yet remaining "weird"; in a good way. Expect cameos from your favorite creatures; characters always being drawn into a ghost town to confront their past. The last two Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 provide some extension of background story for the Postman and Anne featured in the game Downpour. The comics will not replace what-could-have-been the experience promised in plural, the gamebut they are a worthy part of the "Hill"; Recommended for Hill fans. SH is one of my all-time favorites, I'm a hardcore fan of the original quartet in particular. They're more like in-depth interactive artwork than games, more like Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 experience. People just don't make things like that much anymore, sadly. It's nice to see some of the comics finally Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 it justice. It would be better if you were familiar with the series' nature already, I think, bu Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 is one of my all-time favorites, I'm a hardcore fan of the original quartet in particular. It would be better if you were familiar with Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 series' nature already, I think, but I believe these would make sense if you weren't, though to a lesser degree. I would have preferred it if they had just made comics based on the original, but the spin-off stories are still pleasant to read, and are worth getting for the art, particularly in Past Life. Holy crap, that art is quality stuff. The art in Anne's Story reminds me somewhat of the Sandman series. Sinner's Reward is alright - the drawing style is really unusual - it looks photorealistic. It fits the mood well. I thought the "mystery" in S. Aug 31, Joey rated it liked it. Pretty spooky. Although all storylines were different, they were Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 written by the same author and have similar underlying themes related in some way to the functioning of Silent Hill in our collective psyche. Three different artists kept the book varied, and menton3 kills the western dark art. Nov 18, Carly Nicholas rated it it was amazing Shelves: books-i-own. It is one of the best survival horror videogames series ever made. This graphic novels is similar to the volume 1 ominbus which is a collection of short stories or a graphic of a series of comic books in one book I read all of it today, it was good but I was a bit disappointed yet again by the lack of use of the creatures from silent hill, the mythology or well known characters in the series of videogames. I would rather read an adaptation of the videogames since Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 aren't already novelizations of thr first three games that have been published, so it would be nice if they were republished in English, since I would like to read them! I don't really like the way the omnibuses are put together, they both contain random stories that are connected to Silent Hill directly, which is annoying. Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 would have ednjoyed reading the omnibuses more if, the nurses, pyramid head or the other lesser known creatures were in the graphic novel, it would have made it more entertaining to read, since they Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 only in one or two of the stories. I did however lie the last story since it was based on the videogame Silent Hill: Downpour which is a good game, somed of the plot was different but I liked reading this story. Pyramid head, thenurses and some type of zombie dog similar to the zombie dogs from resident evil were in the first story, but if they were in the graphic novel more often then, I would have liked this, it's annoying that this series and resident evil aren't scary anymore, it's just bland and mediorcre. The second story was okay, but I don't understand how the stories or characters in either omnibus volumes 1 or 2 are connected, so I find it annoying that there are not any reoccuring characters that I like or know about, that would have made it more interesting. Even though it's disappointing to read, I guess people should appreciate that there even is an omnibus graphic novel of Silent Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 graphic novels after the viderogame franchise getting butchered and now cancelled after the Silent Hill playable teaser P. It would be nice to see a graphic novel based on the videogame franchise sometime in the future, because it is really creepy, a lot is not really explained well or at all in the viderogames, so more detail could be added in a series of novelizations or graphic novels. This is obviously a must have instant buy type of item if you are a huge fan of Silent Hill like me, but don't expect to see pyramid head Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 the nurses on every other Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2, because you will not be satisfied unfortunately. May 16, Tim rated it liked it. Pretty meh. The first two, Sinner's Reward and Past Life were pretty much the same story. I did like Anne's Story, as it cleared up a bit of Downpour. While the plot may unravel somewhat predictably, Jack is tormented by nightmarish monsters who take on the various personas of people he has mercilessly killed in his past. The artwork, rendered by Steph Stamb, has the computer-generated look of a Silent Hill Omnibus: Volume 2 game, yet the images remain atmospheric, dark, and appropriately bleak. Foster follows his pregnant wife—a God-fearing woman named Esther Munroe —to the infamous town so that they two may start a new life on the Munroe family property there. The artwork—a dream-like combination of thin lines, silhouettes, pale watercolors, and big splashes of blood—serves to amplify the gruesome secret that Foster has been harboring for far too long. Told over the course of four issues, the comic explores in vivid detail the vigilante-esque tale of Anne Cunningham, a dogged corrections officer, and her search for the escaped prisoner she believes is responsible for the death of her father. Though more horrific details could have been added to the monsters, the illustrations effectively combine muted colors, fog and shadows to capture the terror and menace that Anne experiences in Silent Hill.
