S311 Fitzgerald Marine Reserve w/ Maestras Do you like the beach? Do you like to explore? If the answer is “YES!!!” then come join us and together we will explore Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, a natural refuge for plants and animals adapted to live at the edge of the ocean.

Bring a backpack with a bagged lunch and wear layered clothing, including a heavy jacket. Even when it is warm inland, it can be quite cold at the Reserve. Bring rain gear if there is any possibility of rain. Everyone should wear shoes that can get wet and can provide a good grip on slippery surfaces. Also, we suggest you bring an extra pair of shoes and socks for the ride home.

- 17 - Ten Miniature Gardens created by the classes listed below and exhibited at this year’s San Francisco Flower and Garden Show can be owned by you. Each garden was designed and planted by the kids, they added their creativity to each. The gardens are in flats (18” x14”) many of the plants can be maintained within the flat or you could plant into your own garden. Please see the photos of each garden.

The gardens are currently at the show. We are hoping that we win an award or two! The min- iature gardens will be returned to Fiesta Gardens on Monday March 23rd and will be available for pick up in the library.
