UBC Women’s Basketball Celebrates the 2008 CIS/ National Championship Team

UBC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL is looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the 2007-08 women’s THUNDERBIRDS IN THE COMMUNITY basketball team that captured the U Sports (CIS) trophy in 2008. ON JANUARY 19TH, approximately 900 Vancouver area Elementary school students will join us for a free fun-filled day of education and sport. Students will meet the UBC Thunderbirds Women’s Basketball team and take part in a variety of free activities culminating in prime seats at a basketball match-up between the University of Thunderbirds and the visiting MacEwan Griffins. Throughout the game, there will be opportunities for students to participate in on-court mini-games as well as to interact with UBC Student Athletes.
