Description

Join us for our welcome dinner in the beautiful garden at Casa Doina and enjoy a blend of sophistication and tradition from Bucharest’s Golden Age. The restaurant first opened its in 1892 and quickly became the favourite restaurant for the Bucharest elite. Enjoy traditional Romanian dishes served in historical surroundings. If you look carefully, you can still see some of Romanian brewers’ and vineyards’ popular brand names etched into the stone walls by architect, Ion Mincu.

Description

Pottery is an ancient art form that has been practised for centuries in Romania. Join our relaxing pottery workshop during which you will be working with clay specialists helping you create your very own masterpiece. The workshop will be followed by a typical Romanian lunch at Hanu Berarilor.

Description

Join us for our black tie conference dinner in the Brancovenesc Hall situated in the monumental of Parliament. This historical and important venue is still home to Romania’s Parliament today. Enjoy exclusive access to one of the palace’s beautiful courtyards for our drinks reception. We will then have a dinner of Romanian delicacies in a truly stunning setting.

Sunday, 17 May

10:00 – 15:00 Day Trip

Description

Our day trip will take us back to the Palace of Parliament, where we will explore the palace during a guided tour and learn about its historical past. The Parliament was built during the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu. Find out how a Romanian civil engineer helped save some of Bucharest's most symbolic churches from destruction, to make way for the palace, in the 1980's. Our tour will finish with a lunch at the 130-year-old restaurant, Caru' cu bere, located in Bucharest's old town.

** Please remember to take your passports with you, otherwise you will not be allowed into the Palace of Parliament for the tour **
