Amanda Taylor is a composer, vocalist, and educator from Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Central Washington University in 2013 with a degree in music composition. She currently teaches contemporary voice and composition at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, and directs an ensemble at Academy, a teen summer intensive in Los Angeles, designed to train up-and-coming vocal talents. She is also known for singing lead soprano in the Seattle-based professional jazz ensemble, Groove for Thought. Groove for Thought was featured on Season 2 of NBC’s show, “The Sing-Off,” which featured a cappella groups from all over the country. Mietz, DMA, serves as the executive director of the Kinser achary Vreeman, DMA, is director of choral activities at Casper Jazz Festival as well as the instructor of woodwinds at Casper College. College, and current president-elect of the Wyoming chapter of the JHe conducts the Casper College Jazz Ensemble, teaches applied ZAmerican Choral Directors Association. He holds two degrees from clarinet and saxophone as well as “Jazz Improvisation,” “The History of Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, and completed his Doctor of Musical Blues,” “Jazz and Rock,” and coaches the Casper College Clarinet and Arts degree in choral at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Saxophone Choirs. Mietz was born in Upstate, New York and went to high where he studied with Peter Eklund and Therees Hibbard. Vreeman school in Alamosa, Colorado. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in conducts the Casper College Collegiate Chorale, Men’s and Women’s clarinet performance from the University of Colorado-Boulder, a Master Choirs, and the Contemporary Singers and teaches “Music History” and of Music degree in clarinet performance from the University of Montana- education courses. Prior to Casper College, he directed choirs at the Missoula, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His graduate University of Wyoming. Vreeman has also sung with several professional chamber choirs, currently with degrees both featured emphases in instrumental conducting and his doctoral document analyzed David the Colorado Bach Ensemble and the Skyline Singers. In 2016 he founded the Wyoming Choral Arts Maslanka’s “Desert Roads” from the viewpoint of a clarinetist and also a conductor. In addition to his Ensemble in Casper, and is also choirmaster at Grace Reformed Church in Casper. When not teaching or work at Casper College, Mietz also maintains a studio of clarinet and saxophone students through Vibes conducting, Vreeman enjoys woodworking and spending time with his wife and six young children. Prior to arriving in Casper in the fall of 2014, Mietz taught applied clarinet and saxophone at Fort Lewis and San Juan Colleges near Durango, Colorado. He is an active member of ICA, NASA, CMS, NaFME, WJE, and MTNA. In his spare time, Mietz enjoys baking bread, backpacking, and running in the mountains. He previously Nathan Baker, M.A. Music Theory, Music Technology, and Trombone served as senior lecturer of percussion and improvisation at Southern Teague Betchel, D.A.
