You can visit “The Last Supper” all days (except on Mondays) from 8.15 am to 6.45 pm. Ask the Reception to try and book tickets for you: it costs € 20,00 . Also appreciated are the beautiful religious mosaics created by the Vatican School. Also in this church you can take place to one of the many messes: from Monday to Saturday at 7.30 am, 8.00 am, 8.30 am, 9.30 am, 6.00 pm; on Sundays at 8.00 am, 9.30 am, 10.30 am, 11.30 am, 6.30 pm, 8.00 pm. SFORZESCO CASTLE Reachable by underground MM1 Cairoli Station or MM1-MM2 Cadorna Station This imposing Castle, originally built by the Viscontis and Sforzas, has been rebuilt several times. Inside the Castle, many museums (Egypt Art, Ancient Art, Prehistoric Museum) are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm. The entrance costs you only € 3,00 . But on Fridays, from 14.00 on, it’s free of charge!!! Do not miss it!!! Inside the beautiful park that surrounds the castle you can find, especially in summertime, some nice bars and discos. BRERA’S PINACOTECA Reachable by underground MM2 Lanza Station – MM3 Montenapoleone Station Brera Museum is not huge, but it consists of an impressive collection of primarily Italian paintings: Caravag- gio, Raffaello, Mantegna and many more. Brera opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 8.30 am to 7.15 pm. The ticket costs € 10,00 . You can also rent an acoustic guide in Italian, English, French, Spanish and German. THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM LEONARDO DA VINCI Reachable by underground MM2 S.Ambrogio Station – MM1 Conciliazione Station This museum houses the world’s best scientific and technological collections including a separate area known as the Leonardo Da Vinci Gallery, which of course showcases the inventor’s great ideas. Time to visit it: from Tuesday to Friday, 9.30 am – 5.00 pm; On Saturdays and Sundays, 9.30 am – 6.30 pm. SAN SIRO STADIUM Reachable by underground MM1 Lotto Station One of the most beautiful European Stadium. With a 85.000 people capacity, you can visit San Siro Stadium all days (except match day) from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Compared to English stadium, ours is very cheap, that’s why…you cannot miss it! NAVIGLI + FLEE MARKET Reachable by underground MM2 P.ta Genova Station Tourists cannot miss out on a trip to one of Milan’s many flee markets. The largest market takes place in Viale Papiniano twice a week, on Tuesday and Saturday morning. It’s known for its terrific fashion, especially for shoes. QUADRILATERO DELLA MODA Reachable by underground MM3 Montenapoleone Station Via Montenapoleone is the most expensive street in Milan and Italy, famous for fashion and jewelry shops. It is the most important street of the Milan Fashion District known as the Quadrilatero della Moda where many well-known fashion designers have their high-end boutiques and stores. Via Montenapoleone is also regarded as the most important ‘street in fashion’, as Milan is recognized as the absolute capital of fashion in the world. PUBLIC GARDENS Reachable by underground MM1 P.ta Venezia Station Designed back in the late 1700’s, these beautiful gardens are worth the visit. They are always open. Among the main subsurface resources, a strong interaction between underground infrastructures and groundwater has emerged in many urban areas in the last few decades. Thus, listing the underground infrastructures is necessary to structure an urban conceptual model for groundwater management needs. Starting from a municipal cartography (Open Data), thus making the procedure replicable, a GIS methodology was proposed to gather all the underground infrastructures into an updatable 3D geodatabase (GDB) for the metropolitan city of Milan (Northern Italy). The underground volumes occupied by three categories of infrastructures were included in the GDB: (a) private car parks, (b) public car parks and (c) subway lines and stations. The application of the GDB allowed estimating the volumes lying below groundwater table in four periods, detected as groundwater minimums or maximums from the piezometric trend reconstructions.

Operating in an urban context that included the presence of an existing line (Milan Metro Line 1), the work had to grapple with some very particular problems so as not to interfere with the area’s normal city life. Several construction choices and technical solutions were adopted to reduce impacts as much as possible and to suit local needs. The contribution points out the attention to the issues that make this activity so particular for excavation, ground support and structural solutions, and also for the split between civil and tunnel works carried out simultaneously on the same site.     Building capacity for excellence in service provision for people with disabilities EPR STRATEGIC WORKSHOP FOR DIRECTORS 2017 Fit for the future – co-creating the EPR of tomorrow 28-29 September 2017 IRCCS Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi Via Capecelatro 66, 20148 Milan, Italy PROGRAMMEProgramme Introduction EPR’s current strategic plan comes to an end in 2018 so in 2017 a number of actions have been launched to gather members’ input for developing new strategic objectives and ways of work for the coming years in order to meet members’ needs, challenges, wishes and expectations, and ensure the EPR network engages members, enthuses them because of its impact, and is therefore also attractive for new members. In February 2017 a meeting for members was organised and then an online survey was launched. Following a discussion on first results of the consultation at the June General Assembly the Board agreed that the 2017 Workshop for Directors would take this input and go deeper into developing the strategy, whilst also ensuring a learning dimension for the participants. The meeting will help uncover what needs to change and how in order for EPR to achieve its mission and vision. More information on the content of the workshop is found below. On the second day of the event in Milan, Raheem Esmail, experienced EQUASS and ISO auditor, will present the new EQUASS 2018 system, which will replace the 2012 version by January 1st 2018. By providing extensive information on how EQUASS system compares to other established quality systems, and how it can support the growth of a social service organisation in its performance, in order to better serve its users, the aim of this session is to further the understanding of members of EQUASS and equip them to promote EQUASS in the coming years.
