Matt Tabash, Washington ...... 2.5 SECOND-BEST SHOOTING TEAM IN DIVISION III The Tigers entered the tournament as the second-best shooting team in Division III at 51.6 percent from the floor. Only Wisconsin- Oshkosh, at 52.2 percent, had a better mark from the floor. After hitting 54.2 percent from the floor in the win over Wittenberg, the Tigers improved to 51.7 percent. DePauw has shot 50 percent or better from the floor in 18 of the 25 games this season. On three occasions they’ve been over 60 percent.

COMING ON STRONG Several Tigers have played well down the stretch as DePauw has reeled off eight straight wins. In his last eight games, Joe Nixon has averaged 22.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. During that stretch he’s hit 57 of 110 field goal tries (51.8%) and 36 of 72 three-pointers (50.0%). He’s hit five or more three-pointers in six of those eight games and topped the 20-point plateau six times. Over his last three games, Jeremy Bettis has averaged 22.7 points and 10.0 rebounds and hit 30 of 48 field goal attempts (60.0%). Over his last 10 games, Joe Ringger has averaged 18.9 points per game and hit 66.7 percent (80-120) from the floor.

MOST WINS IN 10 SEASONS With a win, DePauw would equal the fourth-highest single-season victory total in school history. SOLID IN THE CLASSROOM TOO Senior Joe Nixon was named a Second Team Verizon Academic All-America College Division choice this week. The mathematics major and economics minor carries a 3.60 grade point average. The 15 players chosen are from NCAA Division II and III and NAIA schools.
