For 17 years Salem has played host to this prestigious Division III Men’s Baseketball Championship Series, and each year new visitors arrive in the area to not only take in the games, but also the sights and sounds of the greater Roanoke Valley. Our number one goal each year is to make this a memorable trip for all four teams and the fans. We trust you will enjoy the second and third helpings of our famous southern hospitality that are evident from our restaurants to the many unique shops found in the heart of the city. While the basketball tournament has proven itself to be full of excitement over the years, be sure to save up some energy to experience what we like to call “The Salem Way” of doing things. It’s a commitment to excellence within the city limits that exists from Main Street to the Mountains. It’s also the reason so many basketball fans like yourself later return to the area to vacation and experience Virginia’s largest free gate fair, the Roanoke Valley Horse Show, the Boston Red
