To adequately screen for effects on a Natura Site it is mandatory that a map of the spread lands be included in the application.

The DAU states in the attached submission the following;

The applicant stat'es that a Nutrient Management Plan, and therefore a map of the proposed manure spread lands is no longer legally required. However it should be noted that under Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening for the Birds and Habitats Regulations 201 1 a map of the spread lands is required to ensure that there is no significant negative effect on any Natura 2000 site (i.e. Sac and SPA sites) from this proposal. The spread lands should be subject to Appropriate Assessment screening with particular reference to potential effects on the water quality of the Lower River Shannon SAC 21 65
