Music City Star New Year’s Eve excursion train SOLD OUT

NASHVILLE – Your best ticket for getting downtown to ring in 2015 is no longer available. All 650 tickets to ride the to Wednesday night’s Bash on Broadway have been sold.

The Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee (RTA) increased the number of available seats from last year’s 400, which was also a sell-out. Customers who purchased the special train tickets will receive only one round-trip ticket for the New Year’s Eve train and must show the ticket to train personnel for scanning when boarding. Children age 4 and younger will not need a ticket to board; however, they will be required to sit in their parent’s lap. Children age 5 and older will need a ticket. Weekday Music City Star tickets and passes are not accepted on the New Year’s Eve train.

Backpacks and folding chairs will be allowed onboard the train. Any items that will not fit underneath the seat, such as large coolers, bikes and wagons, are not permitted on the train.

The special New Year’s Eve excursion train is scheduled to depart Lebanon Station (334 W. Baddour Parkway) at 6:40 p.m., Martha (65 Martha Circle) at 6:51 p.m., Mt. Juliet (22 E. Division St.) at 7 p.m., Hermitage (4121 Andrew Jackson Parkway) at 7:08 p.m., and Donelson (2705 Lebanon Pike) at 7:15 p.m. It arrives at Riverfront Station at 7:30 p.m. The return train will leave Riverfront Station 30 minutes after the fireworks show ends and stop at all the stations. Parking is free at the outlying stations and is not available at Riverfront Station.

For those wanting to get downtown earlier, there are several other daily trips. A train leaves Mt. Juliet Station at 5 p.m., stops at the Hermitage Station at 5:07 p.m., and Donelson Station at 5:20 p.m., and arrives downtown at Riverfront at 5:35 p.m. Two other trains depart Lebanon Station at 3:20 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. with stops in Hermitage and Donelson before arriving downtown at Riverfront Station at 4:10 p.m. and 4:50 p.m., respectively. Special New Year’s Eve tickets may be used on any inbound train to Nashville on December 31st.

Customers who choose to take an earlier train will still need the special New Year’s Eve ticket in order to board the train at Riverfront Station following the fireworks at New Year’s Eve Bash on Broadway.
